About The Program
The 2022 Annual Meeting Program Committee, Lisa Maisonneuve of CrossCan, Margaret Bryant of Orca Book Publishers, and Holly Merriman of Ingram Content, are pleased to announce the meeting theme: Navigating the New Normal.
With the help of both SLJ and ASCD Smartbrief, our first education session will give you the most up-to-date look at our current transitional period in education. Delving down deep through detailed analysis to find out what the ever changing needs are in classrooms and libraries. We’ll be looking at digital vs print; what will come out on top in the post-pandemic school? What are the best ways to market and how do libraries and classrooms want to be contacted? What’s top of mind when choosing resources this year? In addition to the current/future snapshot of the classroom and library, the programming committee has also put together a session on Indigenous Voices to bring to light the need for Lived Experiences publishing in our schools and libraries.
To register for the annual meeting, please use the registration links on the left hand side of this webpage. Complete meeting details regarding the agenda, hotel reservations, transportation, one-on-one session advice and more will be forthcoming.
Early-bird registration closes November 9. After this date, registration prices will increase by $100.
Two Optional excursions will be offered. On Sunday an ATV Tour is being planned. This will likely require attendees to come in on Saturday. On Thursday, after the conference, and optional Tucson historic ghost tour and spirits tasting is being planned for that evening.
Please plan travel accordingly if you are booking flights and will want to attend these events
COVID POLICY- New 9/17/21
EBMA has established a policy* that all attendees must wear masks at indoor non-meal functions within the EBMA meeting space. Additionally, attendees will be required to show proof of being fully vaccinated (final shot before December 27, 2021). An original copy, photocopy, or picture on a device of the vaccine card may be presented as proof of status at registration.
Hotel and venue staff will be asked to wear masks in EBMA event spaces. All state and local guidelines will be followed along with the mask and health status policy EBMA has established for the spaces occupied by the organization.
This link to the hotel website explains the precautions they are taking. Room setups will provide appropriate social distancing. EBMA plans to utilize as much outdoor space as possible for social events so attendees are encouraged to bring appropriate clothing.
*All local, state, and federal legal requirements will be met or exceeded by EBMA. These regulations, along with the health environment, may change and EBMA policy will adjust. The requirements for proof of vaccination will not be adjusted.
Special Note to Company Admins: If you are a company administrator not attending the annual meeting but registering one or more employees from your company, please do not register yourself or register the attendee with your email address.
